During this advent season we are reminded that Jesus is the greatest picture of love–God’s love. Him coming to this earth puts on display the great lengths that God goes in order to love us and redeem us.

In this week of Advent, we will be exploring the topic of Joy, and how Jesus offers us lasting joy.

ADVENT : Peace - Peaceful Restoration

One of the titles of Jesus is Prince of Peace. Unlike the word anxiety which means to tear apart, Peace means to bind together. Jesus being our Prince of Peace means that he can bring all the chaos and difficulties of life that tear at us and cause us to feel overwhelmed and offer us peace that all will be well no matter how difficult life gets.

Draw Near to God

For many people God can seem far away from our circumstances. This can be a great source of pain for many who think of God as someone who is disconnected from our struggles and does not care to make a difference. But Scripture states, “Come near to God and he will come near to you” (James 4:7).
