We go through life with expectations. We expect friends, family members, and the likes to live a certain way, do certain things, and overall meet our expectations. This is also true with how we view God. We expect God to love us in a specific way, and, when he doesn’t, we become crushed by our failed expectations. In these moments it is tempting to think of God as a lair, or as someone who doesn’t love us enough to care. Is this true? Or have our expectations failed us?
